✦ What is this zine about?
This zine will be a celebration of found family in Teyvat. We love that so many characters in Genshin Impact have biological families and blood-related siblings, but we also love the families that they've made for themselves, so this project is a love letter to the family you choose, whether you share DNA with them or not.✦ Is this zine for charity or for profit?
We are still deciding what will be the best option for the scale of the project. For the time being, we are leaning toward charity, but will be revisiting our options as the zine progresses.✦ Will this zine feature any shipping or NSFW content?
No. All contributions to this zine will be wholly SFW and, while it's fine if you ship it, character interactions will all be depicted platonically.✦ Will this zine be digital or physical?
Depending on interest, we are hoping to offer both a digital PDF and a printed book, as well as merch items.✦ Is this zine "proship"?
We don't like that label, as it implies that the issues currently plaguing fandom are rooted in fictional relationships, when the greater problem is how we real live people treat one another. We aren't going to judge anyone based on what ships they like (or don't), or what sorts of content they prefer (or don't); what we will NOT abide, however, is any form of harassment, or threats made toward anyone whose opinions or tastes differ from anyone else's. We want this zine to be a place where fans can come together to celebrate love and family among the characters we all enjoy, and we will not tolerate those who would seek to persecute others because of their fictional preferences✦ Who can apply? Are there any prerequisites? What is the minimum age requirement?
We ask that all applicants be at least 16 years of age at the time they apply. Other than that, the only requirement is that you have samples of your work to apply with!✦ How many contributors will you be accepting?
Depending on interest, we are currently aiming to have 25ish page artists, 6 or 7 merch artists and 10ish writers for this project.✦ How popular does a found family have to be to be allowed in the zine? Are headcanons acceptable?
While we do love headcanons, we want to make sure the zine represents found families that everyone can at least see support for. Headcanons are subjective and can be very personal, and may open the door for arguments we want to avoid, so as long as you can show us where canon supports your found families, it's totally fine. It does not have to be popular, but it does have to have at least some semblance of canon support.✦ How many pieces will contributors be allowed to submit? Will comics be permitted?
Depending on the amount of interest we receive, comics, spreads, and other larger contributions may be permitted. However, at this time, we want to start off with everyone on an equal playing field with one contribution.✦ What sort of compensation can contributors expect?
All contributors will receive a free copy of all digital items. If the zine does well and sales allow for physical bundles to be distributed free of charge, we will be more than happy to do so, but it will depend on how well the zine does in preorders. At the very least, contributors will have the option to purchase all bundles at-cost.
